Rabia Yayla - İspanya (2023)

Hola a todos! I am a 3rd year advertising student and currently doing Erasmus in Marketing at Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid.

At the beginning, it is documents, course selection, visa, but no matter how difficult it seems, I see that I am living an adventure that is worth all the effort. With the help of the Erasmus office and my department coordinator, I had my elective courses counted and everything is going well now.

I think that seeing different cultures and lifestyles and living in a different country for a while gives you a new perspective. Erasmus allows you to meet and socialize with both the citizens of the destination country and people from other cultures. This opportunity teaches us to be more tolerant to people who are different from us. Also, thanks to Erasmus, we can see the unique architectural structures and natural beauties of many countries, I think this is one of the most beautiful aspects of Erasmus.

Yalım Cinisli - Hollanda (2018)

"Hello everyone, I am Yalım! I came to the Netherlands with the Erasmus program in February. Although my school is in Eindhoven, I was able to find a house in Utrecht. Utrecht can be called 'Little Amsterdam'. Although the Netherlands is usually rainy, there are rare moments when the sun shines. The people are fun, and I can say that they all speak English. Before coming here, keep in mind that the Netherlands is an expensive country. Also, from the first moment I arrived here, I started looking for internships to improve myself. As a result of my efforts, I met Tolga Büyükdoğanay, Executive Creative Director of OgilvyAmsterdam and Eduardo Marques, CCO of Publicis Groupe Netherlands. As a result, Erasmus and the Netherlands gave me very important experiences. I plan to continue my career here in the future. I'm glad I came here.

I don't know how to start. It was definitely the best time of my life. Living in Europe was an incredible experience. Of course, besides that, friendships, endless Erasmus parties... So what kind of a process is Erasmus? Let me put it this way; it is a process that starts with pain and ends with a sweet ending. Going away from your family and friends may scare you a bit, but never be afraid. There is never a situation like being alone on Erasmus. Be prepared to party and go crazy every day in Erasmus. You can be sure that you will feel like you are in another world. Seeing the living conditions abroad, getting to know different cultures and different people, and listening to Turkey through their eyes... it was all an incredible experience for me. And while we have such a chance at our university, I highly recommend you to go to Erasmus and see the other side of life. I am sure you will never regret it.

Buğra Yağız Kıraç - Polonya

I am one of those who think that advertising requires a character that is rich in culture and broad in perspective. At least During my student life, one of my priorities was to get to know many different people and to collect memories with them.. I can say that it was my only opportunity to do everything I was looking for and more in 1 or 2 semesters, to have the opportunity to meet very different people than I could meet in my own school, and to learn European culture. I chose Poland for my Erasmus preference thanks to my friends who had preferred it before and were satisfied with it. It was Jagiellonian University in Krakow. I still miss my Erasmus times and the feelings I experienced back then. The places I traveled, the people I met, the cultures I saw, and the things I learned made me come back from Erasmus as a completely different person. I can say that it was one of the best choices I made in my life. Don't miss this opportunity.

Cansu Gelgin - İspanya (2014)

The International Office of the school helped us a lot to get used to the city. Also, the academic staff is very young and they take care of us like friends and help us with all our problems. Thanks to the various organizations organized for Erasmus students, I made friends from all over Europe and had the opportunity to travel around Spain. I live with three Spaniards in Zaragoza and living with them has helped me to improve my Spanish and learn Spanish culture much more closely. Living in another country opens up very different horizons. It is an experience that must be experienced...

Nihan Barlas - Güney Kore

Erasmus agreements with many European countries and exchange programs with Asian and American countries are among the most interesting opportunities of the Advertising Department of Kadir Has University. I benefited from one of these exchange programs. I stayed at the University of Seoul in South Korea for one month. What I experienced in this short time gave me a lot of experience. The people were very friendly and fun.The environment and the benefits of Seoul University in terms of technical equipment and laboratories also make the school different from many other universities. In addition, the understanding and helpful attitude of the faculty and staff towards the students makes the school and the classes more bearable. I would like to thank Khas for all these opportunities and successful teaching staff 🙂

Buse Olgun – USA

I was going to America for the second time, but I was still very scared that I was going to study in another country with other people. Nothing happened as I feared and I had the best time of my life there. I met incredibly friendly, helpful and wonderful people. I didn't eat; I traveled, I saw, I lived. I participated in festivals, went to the most interesting museums, attended parties, and lived my student life like a student. I am now in my last year and I may not be able to go there as a student again. As much as I am sad about this situation, I am very happy for the friends who have such an opportunity. Please go, see, get to know, and never miss this opportunity. Be sure that you will have many beautiful memories that you can live in your life and that you will always remember).

Duygu Eğrisöğüt - Belçika

I'm Duygu Eğrisöğüt. I am a 3rd year advertising student. I applied for the Erasmus student exchange program for the 2012-2013 semester and I was selected to go to Xios Hogeschool in Hasselt, Belgium. Due to the intensity of the application period, I didn't realize that I was an Erasmus student until I arrived at Brussels Airport. After I picked up my suitcase, being in the middle of a country where I didn't know anyone, no one knew me, and I didn't speak the language excited me more than it scared me.

The South Korean adventure was the fastest but the most perfect decision I have ever made. Hanyang University is one of the best and most well-established schools in South Korea. The school is quite big. So much so that when I asked one of my student friends, "Have you ever gotten lost in this incredibly big school?" she replied with a laugh, "When I first started school, I was constantly getting lost, now I'm used to it, but I still get lost from time to time." He said. Even if you don't participate, the professors constantly ask you questions about your country and what you have done. For me, it was the most perfect experience of my life. My feet were going backward on the way to the airport. Definitely, definitely, a feeling that everyone should experience.
